The workshop is also organized by the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency (CDEMA), the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), the office of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for the Barbados and the OECS as well as ECHO and will take place from 23-24 November 2016 under the framework of the DIPECHO Action Plan 2015-2016.
1.- Present achievements, good practices and tools related to the main thematic areas of the 2015-2016 DIPECHO Action Plan for the Caribbean: Early Warning Systems, Information & knowledge management on DRR, Communication on DRR, Institutionalization of DRR processes;
2.- Review regional and national DRR priorities; as well as to
3.- Strengthen operational links to the CDM Strategy and Sendai Framework for DRR.
This event will bring together representatives from National Disaster Management Agencies as well as different Ministries, regional organizations, non-governmental organizations, United Nations organization, representatives of the media as well as donor agencies working in the field of disaster risk reduction.
